Can I have a pickup truck?
Yes, non-commercial vehicles that do not exceed 18.5 feet in length, which can fit totally within the limits of an existing enclosed garage (though they do not have to be parked in the garage but have to be of a size that could fit in the garage) can be parked in the driveway of homes in Tequesta Pines. Nothing may be stored in the bed of a truck, unless it is concealed by a bed cover or cap. Commercial vehicles are not allowed to be parked within the subdivision overnight, unless they can be completely enclosed in the garage, with the door shut.
FAQ
Can I have a boat?
Trailered boats are permitted if stored totally within a garage or in the yard if it is completely concealed from view on all sides by a compliant fence. No portion of the boat may be visible from the street or a neighboring property to be in compliance with this restriction.
I am buying a home in the community. Is there an application process?
No, membership in the Property Owners Association is mandatory but is automatic upon the transfer of the property from one owner to another. There is no application process or fee.
Are there any rental restrictions in Tequesta Pines?
Homeowners are permitted to rent their properties without restrictions as to the length of leases or approval of tenants. The Owners do need to ensure that their tenants are aware of the Association's rules and restrictions and agree to comply with them fully. Tenants may not be a nuisance to neighbors.
Can I install solar panels?
Yes, the installation of solar panels is allowed but approval must first be obtained from the ARC and the application must include the type of material, location, height, size, and placement of panels on the property.
I want to get involved. How can I help?
Tequesta Pines is always interested in volunteers and has several opportunities available. Many of these require nominal time on your part but go a long way to keeping the neighborhood in great shape. Begin by attending a regular meeting and speaking with the Board of Directors. We have several committees you can join, including the Welcoming Committee, ARC, the Landscape Committee, and we need assistance with planning an annual block party and running the Association website and Facebook page.
When does the Board meet?
The Board of Directors holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are currently being held via Zoom. Email board@tequestapines.com for a link to the meeting.
My neighbor seems to be having trouble maintaining their property and it doesn't look like anything is being done about it. What can I do?
Advise a Board member of your concerns. You can send an email to board@tequestapines.com and we welcome you to attend a meeting to express your concerns.
Are there rules about garbage cans?
Yes, there are. All trash must be stored out of sight from the street and neighboring properties and is to be placed at the curb no sooner than 5:00 pm the evening before a regularly scheduled trash day. Trash and recycling receptacles must be removed from the curb by the end of the day trash is collected.
What are some common compliance issues?
Storing boats, trailers of any kind, and wave runners overnight in the driveway, on the street, or in any other location that is not completely concealed with fencing or in the garage; failure to maintain the landscaping and irrigation system, including the installation of St. Augustine (floratam) grass from the front to rear of the property; failure to maintain, repair, or replace fencing or installing fencing with the finished side facing into the property; parking vehicles on the grass; trash being left out; items stored in front of the garage or not otherwise concealed from view; and failure to obtain ARC approval prior to beginning home improvements.
